WBHS Theatre Arts Program's 2011-2012 season kicks off with the timelessly appealing, outrageously hilarious comedy Arsenic and Old Lace. The Brewster sisters exist as the epitome of etiquette and charm. Though childless themselves, they've spent their lives doting on their beloved nephews, contributing to numerous charities, and endeavoring to offer a little comfort and peace to as many lost souls who come upon their doorstep as they possibly can. Of course, even the Brewster sisters have "their peculiarities." Don't miss your opportunity to catch the hilarious madness of the classic comedy tale.
Children's Show: Snow White
The wonderful world of the Brothers Grimm is brought to life in this delightful adaptation. Production requirements are minimal, but the familiar story loses nothing in the way of excitement, adventure and fun. All our old friends are here — the lovely Princess, the mischievous Dwarfs, the Prince, the Huntsman, the evil Queen. But wait until you meet the hilarious palace Cat and the Enchanted Vixen. In this version, the Magic Mirror not only talks — it walks! Shiver and shake as the scheming Queen transforms herself into various personalities like Esmeralda, the young gypsy, and a withered Crone so horrible even the Queen herself is terrified! Don't forget that poisonous apple waiting for our heroine. Laughs, chases through the forest and more than enough stage magic to light up the box office and delight young audiences. This is one of the most popular tales of all time, and it never fails to enchant and amaze.

Spring Musical: Children of Eden
Seven years after staging Pippin, WBHS Theatre proudly presents another phenomenal production from lyricist and composer Stephen Schwartz. Freely based on the story of Genesis, Children Of Eden is a frank, heartfelt and often humorous examination of the age-old conflict between parents and children. Adam, Eve, Noah and the "Father" who created them deal with the headstrong, cataclysmic actions of their respective children. The show ultimately delivers a bittersweet but inspiring message: that "the hardest part of love... is letting go."
